Harvard Road

This project is in Kelowna BC, on a 14 acre apple orchard. The orchard will supply a local cidery and the owners intend to expand the orchard in the future. The house is long and low, and sits just above a change in grade. The bedroom wing is detached from the living wing, and the two are separated by a small courtyard. The entry is at this hinge point, under a long, single, dramatic dormer. The dormer draws you into the living room which cantilevers 15’ over the bank. As you exit near the kitchen, you can meander down the landscape to the lower pool and the beginning of the orchard.
